Geysers on the Terrace: a beautiful, indoor wedding venue in Cody, WY

Geysers on the Terrace is an indoor wedding venue located just on the outskirts of Cody, Wyoming. The venue sits at the foothills of Cedar Mountain and looks over the Shoshone River.

This venue can seat up to 300 guests and includes a full bar. There is also an industrial kitchen available for rent for you or your catering team.

The space transitions quickly from the ceremony, to dinner, to the after party with minimal adjustments. The head table can be moved in while you are doing family photos and bridal portraits. Your guests can enjoy drinks from the bar while they wait. Dinner, speeches, cake cutting, and dancing can all start after your grand entrance and first dance.

Location Perks:

There are some definite perks to the location of this venue.

  • It is just at the edge of town so it provides an amount of privacy without taking you an hour out of town.

  • It is very easy to find. It is the last building, on the right side of the road as you head toward Yellowstone. Your guests can’t miss it!

  • If you want to bar hop or have an after party around town, it is super easy to book a transportation service to pick you up from the venue.

  • It is just down the road from the Buffalo Bill Reservoir and Hayden Arch Bridge. Both are beautiful places to have first looks or bridal portraits done if you want some water features and mountains!

Notes about this Venue:

Flash Photography:

Every indoor photo featured in this blog was taken with a flash. It is ABSOLUTELY crucial for your photographer to use flash in this venue. There is not enough natural light for cameras to operate without flash. When looking at their work, make sure to look at their indoor work and maybe ask specifically for some examples of their flash photography.

Quick transition and easy timeline:

Once you get to the venue, the rest of the night quickly transitions and it is a very easy place to celebrate your wedding. There is a hotel just down the road that is a great spot for you and your guests to get a block of rooms. You can also get ready at that hotel if you want a location that is close by.

Great for a reception/backup ceremony location:

This location also works great if you are wanting an outdoor wedding ceremony but want a covered reception venue with a bar and restrooms. An outdoor ceremony can be so meaningful, but the logistics of keeping your guests through a reception at that same location doesn’t always workout. This venue is booked for an entire day. You can book it for your reception and have it as a back up if you need to move the ceremony indoors last minute.
