After another year photographing weddings at the Double Diamond X Ranch in Cody, Wyoming I wanted to give some insight on this venue as a photographer.

Getting Ready Spaces:

The Shoshone Cabin is the perfect place for the bridal party to get ready in. This roomy cabin that can accommodate up to 10 guests has all the natural light and room for you to get ready with your friends on the morning of your wedding.

The giant window in the living room of this cabin is the location for iconic dress photos, beautiful views while you get ready, and a great spot to peek out at your guests as the arrive to the ceremony site just down the road.

Ceremony Site:

The ceremony site is riverside and has a beautiful, mountainous backdrop for your guests to enjoy while they watch your ceremony.

Reception Space:

The reception space is at the center of the venue and is closest to the cabins your guests can rent out. There is no need to worry about how your guests will get home after the festivities!

Everyone is within walking distance of most cabins.

The reception space has a boardwalk that makes walking from there to the bar safe and easy for your guests. A wrap around porch gives plenty of room for your guests to mingle during cocktail hour and take in the beautiful views.

There are tables and chairs that the venue has on hand. The lighting fixtures are already up. They look great in photos and it is so convenient that they are already set up.

The yard surrounding the reception space is always groomed well. There is space for corn hole or other yard games and a fire pit.

Bar:

This venue comes with a bar in the building adjacent to the reception venue or a mobile one that can be brought out to the reception space. The bar has seating and a pool table. This is also in the same building as the groom and his groomsmen tend to get ready. It is a great spot for the guys to hang out.
