Blooming Boards: Gourmet Charcuterie Catering by Emily Mundy

Meet Emily Mundy!

Meet Emily Mundy

Emily is the artist behind the gourmet charcuterie boards and grazing tables you’ve probably seen at weddings, baby showers, senior parties, and more.

Emily and I will be working on an event together in June, and I wanted to take the time to better understand her service and business.

Not to my surprise, there is a little more that goes into her craft than I was expecting. Let’s dig into what makes Emily’s Blooming Boards so special!

Why Charcuterie?

Emily discovered her love for charcuterie boards while attending college in Arizona. There was a charcuterie restaurant that her and her friends commonly went to.

“Food is an event in itself.”

When life brought her to Cody, she discovered there was nothing like that in our area. Emily wanted to share with us, her passion for food as a gourmet opportunity to gather with friends.

Blooming Boards is a unique experience every time.

Emily uses seasonal flavors and combinations to create unique boards for every customer. She creates beautiful, organic looking designs with quality, aged cheeses and meats. You will not be disappointed by the variety of cheeses she includes with all of their different hardness, textures, and flavors. Those are surrounded by sweet and savory combinations that pop with flavor, color, and texture. You can always expect variety, quality, and cleanliness from Blooming Boards’ products.

When we were talking about how she constructs her boards, she explained to me how much she really enjoys creating a classic charcuterie board that is unique for every customer. Even repeat customers could order the same exact board and be excited to see a new presentation or seasonal element to their order. She takes time to really create balance with in her charcuterie boards by including sweet jams, savory sauces, quality meats and cheeses, paired with complimentary fruit, nuts and other goodies.

About Emily… and Ollie

An interview will Emily could not be complete without including Ollie, her Mini Aussie. Emily and her husband got Ollie as soon as they were done with college, and right when Covid came around. He has so much personality and, as Emily described:

“Although he is 100% dog, he does not believe he is anything less than our first born son.”

Emily enjoys getting outside, participating in activities such as hiking, golf, and walking Ollie (of course). When she isn’t playing outside, she enjoys fitness and event planning. Emily mentioned during our conversation that she loves to host. She never would have needed to tell me that, however, because I immediately felt welcomed and comfortable when I entered her house. She might be selling her charcuterie boards as a product, but I feel that her boards are a way for her to bring beauty, convenience, and joy into hosting for everyone that has the pleasure of interacting with her.

I am excited to work with her on this project and hope to have the privilege to continue working with her for years to come! If you haven’t seen Emily’s work, make sure to find Blooming Boards on Facebook and Instagram.
